Thank you so much! That's them. The guy in the first pic (29S) is the one I spoke with at the show (I think :)). Shame they dis-banded. I enjoyed their tunes.

After reading your email, I was able to find Wier Perry on Facebook. He has some references to Hobo Lingo on there as his former band. I might shoot him a message and go from there.

Thanks again for the help. I never would have been able to find anything about these guys without it.

All the best, James

Gen, you're the salt of the earth. Thank you for taking time to write all this out... :)

need help breaking onto the jam rock scene? written by gen cole/jamgrrl

Artist List

the jam rock genre is unlike any other music genre.  and, although you may not become a household name, it can net you a lifelong, well-paid career in music.  if you think you can't afford representation, i offer free and low cost publicity services to select dedicated, talented, young jam rock artists. i can arrange gigs with regional rising artists in your area, and cross-regional 'fan base pollination' type gigs with other artists in the US. and for a few, i can provide mentoring hookups with some of the jam community's more established artists. you need skype for this!

if you're trying to break onto the scene, i encourage you to please read the interview i had with chad denney of nimbleslick entertainment (previously with degy ent.) (select 'interviews' from the navigation bar below).  he is incredible and very successful at launching careers.  he gives some good, hard-earned advice for any young artist.   if you're fortunate enough to have investors backing you and a nice budget, i'd say, please talk with chad about publicity & management.  he's just a super cool person to know on the jam rock scene and he is in a word, effective!

i believe music is the most important art form.  my absolute fav thing to do any day is listen to new jam rock music. please send me yours! :)

the jam rock music scene has its roots in SHARING as a time honored tradition led by the Grateful Dead. allow your fans to tape your music and share, reach out to other artists who are making it happen... this particular genre is unlike any other with musicians and fans intermingling and providing the framework for great things to happen. and that is why the scene keeps growing and the fans stay dedicated.  it becomes a lifestyle.  i'm always reviewing new indie artists across the US.  if you're a music artist or group that is well grounded in your local scene, touring regionally, and seeking more exposure on the national scene, hit me up. i may be interested in featuring your music on jamrockUSA.com.

submit a sample or  music link, and i will take a listen.

i prefer live music and most definitely, original music only.

cya on the scene,

jamgrrl
